Following the successful completion of major structural alterations to the existing High Tensile Fibre Forming Building on the NGF Europe site, JFW Construction was awarded a negotiated contract for the construction of a new portal-framed, cladded Batch Building with internal welfare facilities.

Works included piling, reinforced concrete pile caps and ground beams, an RC ground slab, foul and surface water drainage, service ducting, and external hardstandings and footpaths. The project was carried out on a live operational glass manufacturing site and delivered on programme, within budget, and without any safety incidents.

JFW Construction was proud to receive NGF Europe’s Excellence in Safety Award at their annual Safety Day in recognition of outstanding health and safety performance across two complex building projects at the St Helens Plant.
