Essity Stubbins Mill – Primary Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

JFW Construction were appointed to construct a new Primary Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) within Essity’s live operational mill. The works included demolition of an existing retaining wall, piling, and construction of reinforced concrete slabs, drainage, and machine upstands.

Further works involved erecting steelwork for the main building, tower support, and pipe bridge, installing cladding, doors, and louvres, and constructing a new MMCC enclosure. Internal stairs, walkways, and handrails were also installed.

Despite the challenges of working in a live production environment, the project was completed safely, on time, and to the client’s satisfaction.
